Run for the Nine 6/11

2011 Run For The Nine - Memorial 5K

Date: Saturday, June 11, 2011

Time: 7:00am-1:00pm, Gates open at 7:00am, Run begins at 8:00am.

Location: Joe Riley Stadium, 360 Fishburne Street, Charleston, SC

Details: Local 61, with help from the Charleston River Dogs, is hosting the 2011 Run For The Nine - Memorial 5K. The run will begin in front of Joe Riley Stadium and work it's way to Hampton Park, through some of the local neighborhoods, circle Hampton Park and retrace itself back to Joe Riley Stadium. A map of the actual route, as well as more in depth information on the event itself is available to view at www.local61.com.
All proceeds from this event go towards the construction of the Charleston 9 Memorial being built at the site of the Sofa Super Store Fire.

Registration: Go to www.active.com, keyword: RUN FOR THE NINE, paper registrations are also available. Before June 4th registration fee is $20/person, After June 4th registration fee is $25/person.

Do You Know Hunter?

Hunter the dog has lived at Bolton's Landing for about a year now.

Hunter's owner, Sandra, says he is always full of energy and ready to play!

His happy places are Kiawah Island and James Island County Park where he can run free!

He loves swimming and having other dogs chase him.
No one is a stranger to hunter, he loves everyone! :)

His favorite treats are raw hides with peanut butter flavor, but he will eat anything!

Of course, he also loves getting his belly rubbed! :)

If you see Hunter around the community, be sure to tell him hey!
